Rates as of October 8, 2026, from the U.S. Department of Labor's wage determinations on SAM.gov
Contractors on federally funded construction must pay each trade at least the hourly rate and fringe benefit in the Davis-Bacon wage determination for the county and kind of work. This section holds every one of the 4,235 determinations in force today, by state and county, with the BLS median for the same trade beside it.
By state
Each state page lists every active determination, typical rates for the common trades, and the counties with their own pages. Federal and federally assisted work only; state prevailing wage laws are separate.

How it works
- What Is the Davis-Bacon Act? Prevailing Wage Explained
Davis-Bacon makes contractors on federally funded construction pay each trade the local prevailing wage and fringe. Who it covers and where rates come from.
- The Four Davis-Bacon Construction Types
Davis-Bacon wage determinations come in four construction types, and a county can have one of each. What building, residential, highway and heavy mean.
- How to Read a Davis-Bacon Wage Determination
A Davis-Bacon wage determination has a number, a modification table, rate blocks, zones, groups and footnotes. What each part means and which one applies.
- Davis-Bacon Fringe Benefits: Cash, Benefits and Overtime
Every Davis-Bacon rate is two numbers, a basic hourly rate and a fringe amount, and both are owed. How fringe is paid, what counts, overtime and apprentices.
About these figures
Every rate is read from the general wage determinations the Department of Labor publishes on SAM.gov, refreshed weekly, and shown exactly as published with the determination number, modification and date beside it. Rates printed per day are labelled; figures outside the usual range are shown as DOL printed them. The determination attached to a contract governs, not the current one.
