Privacy Policy

This policy explains what TradeSalary, a service of Northwoods Ventures LLC, collects when you use our website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. The short version: you can use every page without telling us who you are.

1. What we collect

  • No accounts or contact details. The site has no sign-up, and none of its pages ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
  • Choices you submit. When you pick a trade and a state to see local pay, your browser sends those two choices to our server so it can open the right page. They aren't linked to you.
  • Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and the page that referred you, and keeps them in short-lived server logs used to run and secure the site.

2. How we use it

  • To deliver pages to you.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and understand overall traffic.
  • To comply with law.

3. Who we share it with

  • Service providers that run the site on our behalf: Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (the database that holds our published pay data, which contains no information about visitors). They may process data only to provide their service to us.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of anyone.
  • Business transfers. If Northwoods Ventures LLC is acquired or merges, information may transfer to the successor under this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

4. Cookies

TradeSalary does not set cookies, and there are no analytics or advertising tags on the site. If we add analytics, advertising, or forms that collect information, we will update this policy first and describe them here.

Our pages link to government sources such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics and to other sites. What happens on those sites is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for a short period, generally no more than 30 days, unless we need them longer to investigate abuse or as the law requires.

7. Your choices and rights

To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email support@tradesalary.com and we will respond within 45 days. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, including Connecticut, California, Colorado, and Virginia, may exercise their rights under those laws the same way. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Security

Pages are served over HTTPS, and access to our database requires server-side credentials that are never sent to browsers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee against every breach.

9. Children

TradeSalary is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date appears at the top. See also our Terms of Service.
